The Solomon’s | Lauren Solomon grew up in Lake Highlands and attended Skyview Elementary right around the corner from Northlake. She has lived in RISD all of her life and her mother, Anne Barab, served on the RISD Board of Trustees for 10 years. Ben Solomon grew up in Tomball, TX and taught in RISD for 7 years before becoming a Project Manager for AVID, a college-readiness program that is instrumental in changing the culture in schools to motivate students towards college, especially the most under-served. The Solomon’s have two kids: Riley (starts kinder at Northlake in 2015) and Caden (starts kinder at Northlake in 2018). They are so excited to be a part of the effort to support their neighborhood school and provide the highest level of educational opportunity to all students!
